The fourth series of wool auctions closed to-day. The total quantity sold was 120,000 bales, and 10,000 bales have been held over for the next series. Fair competition was experienced at the closing sale.
December 13,
A large and important meeting was held to-day at the Mansion House, when an influencial committee was formed for the purpose of raising money for the defence of property in Ireland.
