At the wool sale to-day 7000 bales were offered, making a total of 90,500 catalogued since the opening. A good demand was again experienced.

A Parnelltfe who was a candidate for the seat for Londonderry in the House of Commons, rendered vacant by tbe appointment of the Right Plot). Hugh Law to the Lord Chancellorship of Ireland, has retired from the contest. In an address to the electors announcing his retirement he urges the supporters of the Parnellite cause to vote for Sir Samuel Wilson, the Conservative candidate.
