Racing Club, Masonic Hotel, Napier, to contain specified sum, name of owner and colours of the rider. Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, and Pakowhai Handicap to be sent in by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 6th December, accompanied by a fee of 1 soy for each nomination. Weights to appear on or before 9 p.m. on Wednesday. 14th December. Acceptance without fee by 9 p.m (in Tuesday, 20th December. Nomination ffor Maiden Plate, Christmaß Stakes. Trotting Race, and Novel Race, by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 20th Decemher, with fee of 1 soy for each nomination. Weight for Christmas Stakes to appear on the course after the Pakowhai Handicap is decided. Half forfeits (of 1 soy) to be declared and paid by 12 noon on the day of the race for the following events or the nominator will be liable for the who:e sweepstakes, viz. : Maiden Plate, Pakowhai Handicap, and Handicap Hurdles. Ali sweeps to be paid at scale and to be for starters ODly. Maiden shall mean a horse that has not won an advertised race at time of entry, Steeplechase, Hurdle, Hack races and matches excepted. Hack shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight for age hnpdicap race. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upor. the condition that all claims, disputes, and object'ons arising bhall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points Shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 2 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest ia not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at Beecroft's Hotel, Hastings, not later than 10 p.m. on the several specified dates. The rules and weights ol the Hawke s Bay Jockey Club as iv force at the date of the meeting, will he strictly adhered to. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. " Hack " shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight for age or handicap race. And any horse having won a hack race of the value of 10 soys, or more, shall carry 101b extra weight. ALP.
