The Union Steamship Company's s.s Albion, Captain 'Webster, arrived in the roadstes d from Melbourne via Hobart and Southern ports, at 11 o'clock yesterday morning. The following is a report of her passage. Left Melbourne on the 27th ult. t at 1.30 p.m., passed through Port Phillip Heads same day at 4.30 p.m., and arrived in Hobart on the 29th nit., at noon ; left the same day at 5.30 o'clock in tho afternoon, passed Cape Pillar at 8.30 the same evcring, and the Solander Islands on the 2nd inst., at 7.30 a.m., arriving at the Bluff Harbor at 12.20 p.m.; left the Bluff at 5.30 o'clock in the evening, and arrived at Port Chalmers at 5.30 a.m. next day; remained there until 11 a.m. on the 6th instant, and then resumed her passage up the const, arriving at Lyttelton the next morning at 6.30 o'clock ; left 4 hours after arrival and arrived at the Queen's Wharf, Wellington, on the Bth inst.; left at 2 p.m., and arrived hero as above. Experienced light and variable winds and fine wenther from Melbourne to Hobart, strong S.W. gales from Hobart to tbe Bluff, and from thence to arrival fine weather. The Albion brought over 100 tons of cargo for this port, which was transhipped to the ketohes Three Brothers and Admiral. Tbe Albion steamed for Poverty Bay and Auckland shortly after 6 o'clock last evening.^

The s.s. Result returned from Wairoa yesterday about 4 p.m. The s.s. Fairy returned during the night from Blackhead, with 113 bales of wool, and is now loading up for Pourerere.

The s.s.s. Maori left for Wairoa on Tuesday night, with about 26 passengers, and was coming up the bay on her return voyage as our report left the Spit.

The s.s. Sir Donald left for Waimarama on Tuesday night, but had not returned up to the time we went to press. The ketch Venus, Capt. King, sailed for Mercury Bay yesterday afrernon, taking a part enrgo of Totara timber shipped by Mr RoVert Holt.

Tho brigantine Linda Weber, Capt. George Bell, was taken outside this morning, preparatory to sailing for Mercury Bay. A square-rigged vessel was signalled as our report left the Spit, which will probably prove to be the three-masted schooner Mary Wadley from Newcastle, N.S.W. The steamer Kiwi, Captain J. Campbell, arrived in the roadstead at eight o'clock this morning from Wellington via the coast, and was brought straight inside and berthed at. the breastwork where she discharged her "cargo, some 110 tons, consisting of transhipments ex Pleione and Virginia, besides general cargo, during the morning. She reports having left Wellington at 10 p.m. on Tuesday ; arrived at Ureti at 8 a.m. next day; landed cargo and shipped wool, and left at 12.30 p.m.; arrived at Castle Point at 3 p.m., and left at 5 p.m., arriving as above. Experienced fine weather to Ureti, from thence heavy north-westerly winds. She leaves again for Wellington at 5 o'clock to-night.

The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, Capt. Chas. Balle, arrived in the roadstead from Newcastle, N.S.W., yesterday afternoon, after a fine weather passage of 18 days. She will he lightered of about 60 tons of coal to-day, and will probably get inside on to-morrow morning's tide. Her cargo, which consists entirely of coal, is consigned to her owner, Mr J. H. Vautier. The lighters Admiral and Three Brothers discharged their cargoes ex the Albion at the breastwork this morning. (by cable.) London, November 7. The Merchant Shipping and Underwriter's Association report the arrival of the ships Oxford from Lyttelton (sailed July 13), Duke of Athole from Lyttelton (sailed July 30), and Cubanaat Dunkirk from Lyttelton (sailed July 5). Albana, November 8.

Arrived, this morning, P. and O. Company's Eohitte, with the English mail which left London on October 7. Melbotxrne, November 9. Arrived, this afternoon, Union Company's steamship Ringarooma from the Bluff.
