BRISBANE.
- November 8. ' News has been received here reporting that attacks have recently been made by the natives in strong force upon the fishing stations at Flinder Island and Knight Island, near the coast to the north of Cape Melville. At the former place the natives were completely repulsed, but the station at Knight Island was partially destroyed, and firearms and rations were carried off. It is feared that Mrs Watson, the wife of one of the owners of the beche-de-mer fishing station on Lozard Island, has been murdered by the natives, who, it is believed, attacked and plundered the statioß on the 26th ultimo, and carried off Mrs Watson and her children during the absence of her husband and his partner. Search parties which were despatched from Oooktown to examine the coast and neighboring islands have not as yet found traces of them.
