DUNEDIN.
November 3. Mr Fisher received a vote of confidence in the South Ward last night. He declared himself a supporter of the Government generally, but censured them for not having earlier acted on Mr Bryce's adyice. He was an uncompromising free trader, a secularist in education, and will vigorously oppose the introduction of local option unless accompauied by compensation.
