WEDNEBDAY, NOVEMBER 2. (Before H. Eyre Kenny, Esq., R.M.) Mulinder v. Floyd, claim £45 Is for goods supplied, &c, as per account rendered. Mr Guy appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Lascelles for the defendant. Mr Lascelles, for the defence, objected to an item of £35 5s allowed for timber supplied by the defendant, such set-off not being admitted. . The objection was ruled to be good as against the plaintiff, thus amount of the claim beyond the jurisdiction of the Court. Defendant's counsel's fee of £3 3s, and expenses 17s, were ordered to be paid. C. Harding v. Downey, judgment summons for £6 18s 6d. Conduct money had been forwarded to the defendant at Napier, who had returned the same, and did not appear in Court. Ordered to pay at once, or in default one month's imprisonment in Napier gaol. C. Golder was charged by the Clerk of the Court that he had not obeyed an order of the R.M. Court at Masterton to pay maintenance money to his wife. The order was reduced from 20s to 12s per week, and the amended balance now due £5 10s was ordered to be paid on or before Saturday next, or in default the defeodant be imprisoned in Napier gaol for fourteen days.
