AUSTRALIAN. (Reuters Telegrams.) SYDNEY. November 1. Tbe half-yearly meeting of the shareholders of the Bank of New South Wales was held o here to-day. The report of the directors showed that the profits amounted to £89,251. Out of this sum it was recommended that a dividend of 15 per cent should be declared, with a bonus of 2£ per cent, leaving £4840 to be carried to the reserve fund. Lady Wynyard, the widow of a former Lieut.-Governor of the colony, died here this morning. It is reported here that a boat of the wrecked vessel Rona has been found at Te Kopurn, with a dead body made fast tothe.tern ringbolt. WELLINGTON. November 2. The Hinemoa and Stella arrived from Opunake this morning. The former vessel leaves again for Opunake this afternoon with volunteers. Mr Johnston, a candidate for Te Aro, addressed the electors last night, and received a vote of confidence. The Hinemoa sailed for Opunake today with 200 officers and men of the Wairarapa Rifles, City Guards, Naval Brigade, and City Rifles, and also the Unired Press Association's special correspondent. The following intercolonial weather eicbange has been received:—Sydney, Tuesday evening. Fine weather prevails in West and South Australia. No report from Victoria or Tasmania. S.
