CALCUTTA.
October 25. Official despatches received to-day from Afghanistan fully confirm the telegram
of the 17th instant announcing the occupation of Herat by the Ameer's Turkistan army. The despatches further state that Abdul Rahman's troops met with no resistance in their march upon Herat, and that the occupation of the city was entirely unopposed by Ayoub Khan. The announcement received on tbe 13th instant that Ayoub Khan had fled to Persia is further confirmed by despatches now to hand.
