Monteith The primary object of the Company is to procure within the town of Napier, a Recreation Ground upon which the town residents and others can take part in such popular Athletic Sports as Cricket, Football, Caledonian Games, etc, without the great expense and inconvenience attendant upon travelling to such a distance aa they are at present compelled to do. To effect that desirable object the Company propose to Lease the Napier Town Hall Reserve, or some other suitable ground, and to make such improvements as will be considered necessary.
