October 22. The following is the betting on the Melbourne Cup:—Duchess, 8 to 1; Trump Yobs, 10 to 1 ; Sweetmeat, 14 to 1; Odd Trick 14 to 1. The Government has decided to consider Mr Ramsay's motion, which comes on in the Assembly on Tuesday, condemning the constitution of the Education Commission, as a vote of want of confidence.
