New Zealand securities are unchanged, the five per cent 10-40 loan being quoted at 100|, tbe five per cent 1889 loan at 103 3 r , and the four and a half per cent 1879-1904 loan at 9R s r . Adelaide wheat, ex-stove, 58s ; New Zealand ditto, 565; Adelaide flour, ex-store, 42s 6d. Australian tallow, best beef has fallen Is 6d per cwt. to 40s, and best mutton 2s to 435. Pig iron hns declined Is per ton, and No. 1 f.o.b. in Clyde fetches 525. (by telegraph.) Auckland, October 21. Mr Buckland reports:— At the Haymarket on Friday, October 14, fodder wa=s in short supply ; oaten and meadow bay brought from 2s Rd to 4s 6d per cwt, small loads 20s to 35s ; straw, 14s to 18s per load. Tbe horse market was fairly filled ; active medium draught brought from £17 to £32; weight-carrying backs and light harness, £13 to £25"; light backs, £6 to £11 ; for animals of a good stamp competition was brisk, and with few exceptions all entered were disposed of at satisfactory prices. At tbe Haymarkefc on Tuesday, the 18th, hides brought from 2_d to 3|d per lb; good sheep skiias from 4s to 4s 9d each ; wool, 7,-d per lb ; tallow, 21s to 33s per cent. At tbe Pokeno cattle sale on Monday there wns a larger muster of stock than usual, and an improved attenddance. The prices obtained were higher than at the larger sales. At Drury on Wednesday there was a larger number of cattle yarded than on any previous occasion, and sellers accepted the current rates freely, with the result of a slight advance in values over late markets, and all yarded being sold. At TRemura on Wednesday dairy cattle were at previous value, ranging from £5 5s to £9 10s, store cattle were in moderate number, and maintained last week's prices, fat cattle were in moderate number, 150 being yarded, and prices range from 25 to 27s tbe lOOlbs for good quality, but heavy sbipbourne oxen were from 22s the lOOlbs ; sheep were abundant, and in request, and maintained their late values; wethers in their wool brought from 15s to 20s ; ewes, 14s to 15s 6d ; short wethers, 10s 6d to 12s 9d each ; store wethers, 14s each ; fat lambs were plentiful, and brought from 10s to 18s each ; pigs were unusually numerous, and all classes were freely competed for, particularly young stores.
