CHRISTCHURCH.
October 18. At a general meeting of the Industrial Association last night a resolution was carried condemning the action of the committee in deciding to support Messrs Joubert and Twopenny, of Adelaide, in their projected industrial exhibition. It was also resolved that this Association, being formed for the fostering and encouragement of native industries and productions, cannot assist or support any exhibition of products which do not come within the objects of the Association. Mr A. Flesher is a candidate for Stanmore. He addressed the electors last night, and received a vote of thanks.
