As a three-year-old the Seikirki-hire Agricultural Society's premium of £4<>, and the third pr>ze at the Highland Society's Show at Edinburgh as a four year-old won the Midlothian Agricultural Association's premium of £50, and the Highland Pociety's gold medal at Perth. His sire Bergainie won the Highland Society's first prize at Kelso in 1863, and numerous other first prizes. Bergamie's dam Maggie won three first prizes at Cauipbelltowu, and her sire Farmer's Fancy won the Highland Society's first prize at Glaseow in 1845 His dam Pegcy won many prizes, and was got hy Clyde Boy, first prize Stallion at Hiiddinirton Show, 1858. also second prize at Highland Society's Show, 1858. Clyde Boy was the sire of the Chamidon Sir Walter Scott, who gained the highest honors at Ihe R iyal Society's Show in England, and the Highland Society's Sho-.* in Scoilnnd. Darling won -a a yearling—first prizes at Ayr, Glaisrow, Hamilton, and Highland Society's at Aberdeen.
