The negotiations which have been proceeding in this city since the 19th instant between the representatives of England and France on the subject of the commercial relations the two countries have been temporarily suspended, and the British commisioners are now returning to London in order to confer with the Government as to the future course of action.
October 1
Telegrams are to hand from Tunis reporting that, in consequence of the recent successes of the Arab insurgents in the neighborhood of Kairwan, a large force of French troops is now advancing on that place.
