COMMERCIAL.
Messrs M. R. Miller and Potts report having held their usual monthly sale at Waipawa on Thursday, when the following stock came to hand :—7O head cattle, 23 horses, wool, sheepskins, tallow, and a few Cochin China fowls. All the lots were sold at satisfactory prices but for a few horses, for which clas3 of stock there was very little demand. Cattle, two-year-old steers, from £4 15s to £5 ss; yearlings to eighteen months, £2 to £4 ; heifers, £4 5s to £5 5s ; cows at from £3 5s to £8 ; fat heifers, £7 10s to £8. Horses, light harness, £12 to J615 • hacks up to £13 ss. Wool, two bales lambs at 5.d ; odd lots at 6d. Sheepskins from 6d to 6_d. Tallow at 2d. Cochin China fowls from 5s to 19s each.
(by cable.) London, September 28. Consols have declined to Q9{. New Zealand securities are unchanged. The breadstuff's market is steady. Adelaide and New Zealand wheat, ex-store, remain respectively at 58s and 50s. Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, is unchanged at 425. Australian tallow, best beef 425, and best mutton 455.
