(by cable.) Londok, September 27. Consols hare advanced one-eighth, and are quoted to-day at 99J;. "New Zealand securities are firm at tlio following quotations : —Five tier cent. 10-40 loan, 102h • five per cent. 1889 loan, 102 \ ; four and a-half per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 99*. The tone of the wheat market is firm, with, an upward tendency. Adelaide wheat, exstore, remains at;Rßs ; T?ew Zealand wheat, ex-store, 565, an advance of Is ; Adelaide flour, ex-store, 425, an advance of 6d. Australian tallow, best beef, is unchanged at 425, but best mutton has advanced 6d, to 455. The market is strong.
