September. • ■' 20 —Fairy, s.s.,for Kawahau. * .. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud, Capt. C. Balle, arrived in the/roadstead from Newcastle at 9.30 rum. yesterday. We have been unable as yet to obtfi'n a report, of her passage. Her carpo consists of 420 tons of coal, consigned to her owner, Mr J. H. Vautier. As several lighter loads will have to bo token from her before she can cross the bar, it is expected that she will not get inside till Friday. The s.s. Result, Capt. W. E. Baxter, returned from Wairoa at 9.30 p.m. yesterday bring seven passengers and several tons of produce. The ss. Fairy, Capt. John Campbell, steamed for Kawahau at 11 o'clock last night, with a full load of stores, &c. Owing to the inclemency of the weather yesterday the G-o-Ahead was unable to open her hatches, in consequence of which her departure was delayed. Her cargo was, however, all discharged to-day, and she leaves for Wellington at 5 o'clock this afternoon. The s.s. Sir Donald had her new mizzenmast stepped yesterday afternoon, and will leave for Blackhead with a full load of timber and station stores to-night. The ketch Jessie went out to the Silver Cloud this morning for a load of coal, which she will lighter ashore. She will then take in another load of coal, and proceed to Gisborne. The s.p. Kiwi will leave Wellington for Napier and. Gisborne to-morrow evening. (by cable.) Fttez, September 19. The Orient Company's steamship Orient, ■which left Melbourne on August 22, arrived here to-day. Her cargo of frozen meat is reported to be in excellent condition.
