WAIROA.
September 21. Mr Locke arrived yesterday, and addresses tbe electors here to-night, at Frasertown on Friday, and at Mohaka on Saturday. A rumor is afloat that Mr Locke's supporters will move a vote of confidence at the meeting on Thursday. This will be strongly resisted, as (he bulk of the electors will not pledge themselves so early in the campaign. At the R. M. Court this morning an important case was decided involving the light to kill trespassing pigs. A native sued John Hunter Brown for £5 damages, but judgment was given for the defendant, with counsel's fees. The Licensing Court sat to-day. There was only one application for a transfer, namely J. G. Becker for the Provincial Hotel at Mohaka.
The Boojum leaves for Napier at three o'clock.
Mr McDonald is expected to arrive at the end of the week to address the electors.
