JOHNSON, Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria. Chemical Laboratory, Sciiool of Arts, Sydney. May 13,1880. I have examined the Sample of M'Ewin's Bottled Ale submitted to me, and find that it contains — Alcohol by weight, 6 - 40 per cent; or by volume, 655 per cent. Extractive matter, 306 per cent,; Acid matter, 017 per cent.
