PARLIAMENTARY.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Friday. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. REPBESENTATION BILL. The Representation Bill was read a second time on a division by 14 to 8. The Council adjourned at 4.30, and resumed at 7.30. BUS. The Masterton and Greytown Lands Management Act Amendment Bill, the Prisons Act Amendment Bill, the Postoffice Bill, the Dog Registration Bill, the Timaru Harbor Board Act Amendment Bill, the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association .Reserve Bill, and the Akaroa High School Bill were read a eecond time. The Fencing Bill, the Rabbit Nuisance Bill, the Gold Duties Act Amendment Bill, and the Timaru Water-race Keserve Bill were read a first time. The amendments made by the Lower House in the Parliamentary Privilege BUI were dissented from, and managers were appointed to confer with the Lower House on the subject. The Council rose at 9.5.
