September S. The trial of E. J. Agg, accountant of the Lands Department, for forgery, has resulted in the prisoner, who pleaded guilty, being sentenced to two years' imprisonment. September 6. The Orient steamship Garonne, which left yesterday for London, takes 4,700 carcases of sheep in ber refrigerating chambers.
