HOKITIKA.
August 30. A public meeting has been held here to condemn the Kepreeentatives Bill, especially with regard to the abolition of the Totare district. A heavy gale has been blowing for the last forty-eight hours, accompanied by rain. A subscription has been started to recoup Sir Julius Vogel the amount he paid out of his own pocket to the Civil Servants.
