ARRIVALS. July. 12—Gleaner, topsail schooner, from Greymouth.

DEPARTURES.

July. 11— Go-Ahead, s.s., for Lyttelton direct. 12—Emerald, ketch, for Eoiton, ■ ♦ The steamer Go-Ahead, Captain Poile, left for Lyttelton direct shortly before 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The ketch Emerald, Captain J. Moore, Bailed for Foiton in ballast at 9 o'clock this morning. The topsail schooner Gleaner arrived in the hay this morning from Greymouth, after a seven days passage. She will be towed insidp this aff-rnoon by tho s.s. Fairy, and moored at the breastwork. Her cargo of coal is consigned to tho Napier Gas Company. The steamer Result's departure for Wairoa has been again postponed, owing to Capt. Baxter having received a telegram from Wairoa stating that there was a heavy sea breaking on the bar at that place. The s.s. Kiwi. Capt. .lames Campbell, leaves Wellington for this port at 5 o'clock this evening, and may be looked for to arrive here on Friday morning, sailing again For Wellington the same eveninrr. The topsail schooner Crest of the Wave, Captain Munro, has ballasted, and will probably sail this afternoon for either Westport or Invercargill. From a private telegram we learn that the three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Captain Lindfors, passed Castle Point this morning, forty-eight hotirs out from Westport, with coal for her owner, Mr J. H. Vautier. (by cable.) Melbourne, July 12. The P. and O. Company's steamship Venetia arrived here this morning, with the inward Suez mails, dated London, 3rd June. 'I he Union Company's s.s. Rotorua sailed for the fluff this afternoon with the New Zealand portion of the English mails. (by telegraph.) Wellington, July 13. Arrived, Mary Lowe, barque, from London, after a voyage of 108 days.
