THURSDAY, JULY 7. Before G- A, Preece, Esq., KM., and T. J. Steele, Esq., J.P.) SUMMARY CASE. Police v. Fisher, for furious riding. Fined 2s and 7s costs. CIVIL CASFS. Maney v. Ingram (adjourned case), claim ot £20 for value of a mare (Yattarina) and foal. No appearance of plaintiff, and case struck out. Defendant was allowed 16s for the day's expenses. Collyns v. John Sutherland, ofMohaka, claim £32 16s 3d, and same v. R. D. Maney, claim £24 6s 7d, amounts due for property tax. Mr H. J. Williams appeared as agent for Mr S. Y. Collyns. Judgment was given for the plaintiff in each case, with £2 11s and £l 129 costs. Duncan v. Green.—Defendant had applied that a witness, MrDowell, should give his evidence in Napier under the provision of the R.M.s Evidence Act, 1870. The case was therefore adjourned till next Court day, the plaintiff being allowed the day's expenses. Corrigan v. Morgan, claim £3 1 8d for meat sold and delivered. Judgment confessed for amount, and coats 7s, amount to be paid in to months. Same v. Toha, claim £6. Judgment for plaintiff for amount and costs. Epiniha Taura v. Tamati Waaka, claim £5 for damage done to a fence. The proceedings were all carried on in the Maori language, the magistrate acting ac his own interpreter. Judgment sup posed to be given in favor of defendant. Atward v. Crozier, claim £4 163, amount of rent due. Defendant disputed plaintiff's title to the house, but admitted he had no title himself. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed and costs. FRIDAY, JULY 8. Before G. A. Preeee, Eeq , R.M., and T. J. Steele, and T. Powdroll, Epqrg , J.P.s.) Winiata Kaihote v. George Taylor, breach ot the Ferry Act. Mr Preece again acted as interpreter. Defendant raised the point that the plaintiff, who is lessee of the Wairoa ferry had not his name painted on the ferry board. Case dismissed.

Tamati Waaka v. ISTikora, claim for a horse. The proceedings were all carried on in Maori. The case is therefore completely unintelligible and unreportable.
