(Reuters Telegrams.) MELBOURNE. Jul} 7. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen is proceeding with the task of forming a new Ministry. It has transpired that tbe post of Treasurer has been offered to, but has been declined by Mr Murray Smith. July 8. A grand ball was given by the Governor last evening to the Royal Princes. Seventeen hundred guests were present, and the affair was most successful. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen is making but
slow progress in the formation of a new Ministry. It has transpired that Sir John o'Sh3n_assey has declined to accept a portfolio.
