In bringing this Prospectus before the settlers and inhabitants of Kaikora district and township, the pr >moters of the scheme have been mainly actuated by the steadily increasing necessity of providing accommodation for " public meetings, entertainments, etc , etc., " the great need of a suitable buiidingfor such purposes being in their opinion very apparent. It is proposed to form a company with a fully paid up capital of £400 as stated above, the amount named being sufficient, it is believed, to erect a suitable building upon the site kindly made over recently by H. S. Tiffen, E*q . to trust les, viz., Messrs A. Dillon, W. White, and E. Watts, for this purpose. The promoters think this site is a very excellent one, being close to the railway station, and consequently pretty central as regards the township, and trust to receive sufficient support to carry out this desirable project, which will conduce greatly to the benefit of the whole community, as well as prove a profitable investment for shareholders. THOMAS BOWEB begs respectfully to thank his numerous customers and friends for their past support and confidence, and also to iif orm them that he has retired from businees in favor of Mr William Oliver, for some time past in his employment, who will continue the business in the old premises, and who, he feels sure, will prove deserving of his customers' continued patronage.
