The local agent of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received from the London office the following produce telegram, dated 21st instant:—Tbe wool sales progress firmly ; competition by both home and foreign buyers is active; there is an active demand on French account, but German demand is moderate ; up to date 260,000 bales have been sold, and 155,000 bales have b'-en taken for export; the sale programme has been curtailed by six daysThe wheat market is quiet; the weather is favorable for the crops here: Adelaide and New Zealand are worth 48s 6d per 4961b?. Mutton tallow realises 36s 6d, and beef 34s per cwt. The leather market is firmer, best sides fetching ll£d per lb.
