DEPARTURES.
June. 17-^Kiwi, 3.8., tor Wellington Tin. the coast. Passengers—Mi , and Mrs Speedy and 2 children, Miss Speedy, and servant.
The s.s. Eesult, Capt. W. E. Baxter, got out of the Wairoa river yesterday morning, and arrived here during the afternoon. She brought a good shipment of passengers, and a quantity of cargo. The steamer Kiwi, Capt. .T. Campbell, left for Wellington at 7 o'clock last evening, taking 114 casks of tallow, and about 10 tons of general goods. The Union Company's s.s. Rotorua, J. Tozer master, left Wellington at 6.30 o'clock last night, but had not arrived up to the time our report left the Spit, the strong northerly wind blowing having probably protracted her passage.
The s.s. Arawata, Capt. Sinclair, leares GHsborne to-night, anci will arrive nere hj daylight to-morrow. The advertised time for the launch to leave the wharf with the outward passengers and mails by this boat is 10 a.m. The Union Company's s.s. Taiaroa, Capfc. J. Anderson, left Oamarn at 5 o'clock last night, with 61 tons of cargo for this port, and niny be looked for about Sunday night. She calls at G-isborne and Tauranga en route for Auckland.
