June 18. The committee appointed of persons interested in shipping frozen meat to England met yesterday, and the following resolution was carried : —" That the Government should be asked to instruct their sheep and cattle inspectors throughout New Zealand to provide information respecting the number of fat cattle in each district, the number of fat stock exported, the probable increase that may be expected within two years from date, "the number of stock boiled down, and the local consumption."
