THURSDAY, JUNE 16.

H. B. RUSSELL V. ARIHT AND OTHEHS. Mr Bel l , with Mr Lee, appeared for the plaintiff ; Mr Lascelles, with Mr Carlile, for the defendant Arihi; and Mr feainsbury for the trustees in Arihi's estate. The following special jury was drawn : Messrs Rochfort (foreman), McKenzie, Hindmar9b, Holt, A. Knight, Holder, St. Clair, Brooking, Gifford, Shrimpton, A. Tuxford, and Torr. This was an action to determine whether a sum of over £2000 advanced by plaintiff to the defendant Aiihi should be paid out of her private estate or otherwise. Mr Lee opened the case for the plaintiff. Both plaintiff aud the defendant Arihi were examined at considerable length, and Mr Lascelles was addressing thejury for the defendant Arihi when our report left. ,
