June. 15—Kiwi, s.s., for Gisborne.
Tho topsail schooner Zior, Captain Botham, is taking in ballast to-day for Dunedin, and will probably get away on this evening's tide. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, steamed for Poverty Bay at 4.30 p.m. yesterday, taking a quantity of timber and general cargo. She is to leave Gisborne at 4 o'clock this afternoon, and will arrive here by daylight to-morrow. She brings a quantity of grain from Gisborne, which she will discharge inside. Her advertised time of departure for Wellington is 5 o'clock to-mor-row evening. The advertised time of departure for the Union Company's s.s. Arawata, for Southern ports, ffobart, and Melbourne, has been postponed until 10 a.m. on Sunday, as she will not leave Auckland before to-morrow. A ketch came to an anchor in the bay about noon to-day, but had not been communicated with up to the time our report left the Spit. She will probably prove to be the Emerald. The Union Company's s.s. Rotorua, J. Tozer, master, leaves Wellington to-morrow afternoon, and will arrive here on Saturday morning. Her advertised time of departure is 4 p.m.
