Mes«rs 11. Monteith and Co. report: — Our sale on aturday at the Horse Bazaar comprised 27 horses, which being chiefly of an inferior, weedy description, caused little competition. Tho chief demand at present is for sound, useful station hacks, for which we have considerable inquiry. We quote young, Bound heavy draughts at £40 to £45 ; extra good, £50; medium do. and plough horses, £25 to £30 ; light harness, £14 to £20; useful hacks, £9 to £12, weeds, nominal. Produce.—There ia little change to report in the produce market with the exception of oats, which have risen about threep°nco por bushel in sympathy with the Southern markets, and show prospects of a still further rise. We quote wheat (milling), 4s ; chick feed do, 3s ; oats, 2s Gd to 2s 9d ; barley, 3s 4d ; maize, 3s 3d ; bran, £4 10s ; sharps, £6 ; potatoes (plentiful), £2 per ton } hay, £3 10s to £4.
(by cable.) London, May 27. Consols has declined to 102f. New Zealand securities are nnclm7iged. .Adelaide wheat ex-warehouse, has advanced to 4-9b, and New Zealand to 455. Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, remains at 33s 6d. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 2.040,000 quarters. Ausfcralain hesfc mutton tallow has advanced to 37s ; best beef remains at 34s 6d.
