DEPARTURES.

May 14—Rotomahana, s.s., for Southern ports and Melbourne. Passengers —Hon. J. N. Wilson, Mesdames Maguinity, Danvers, and F. Pennan, Messrs Jellet, J. Webster, Cornish, McKay, McAllister, P. Thornton, Lindragan, John Walsh, W. H. Finley, Jfimes'Pearce, G-. Pinley, R. Doull, and John Orr.

The Union Steam Ship Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Capt. Thomas Underwood, arrived in the roadstead at 5 o'clock this morning from Northern ports. The following is the report of her passage, for which wethnnk .Vr Charles Tl. Hudson, her purser : —Left Russell at 7 p.m. on the nth, and arrived at Auckland at 6.30 a.m. on the 12th ; left again at 1.15 p.m., and arrived at Gishorne at 1.15 p.m. on the 13th ; sailed again at 6.40 p.m., and arrived as above. She brought 40 tons of cargo for this port, which were transhipped to the lighter Three Brothers. She resumed her voyage for Southern ports and Melbourne at 1 p.m., taking 76 bales of wool and 50 casks of tallow for transhipment to an English bound vessel at Lyttelton, besides a quantity of general cargo. The s.s. Result's intended departure for Wairoa last evening had to be postponed on account of the southerly weather coming on.

The ketch which arrived in the Bay on Thmvday night proved to be the Belianee, Cap'ain Lawtfon, from Whangaroa which port she left on the night of Sunday week last. She experienced S.W. winds as far as the Great Barrier on Monday night, then a fine N.W. wind across the Bay of Plenty, rounding the East Cape on Tuesday night; thence light variable winds until arrival a? above. The pilot brought her inside yesterday afternoon, berthing her at the breastwork, where she commenced immediately to discharge her cargo of sawn kauri timber, consigned to Mr Eobert Holt. The cutter Clara is on the berth for Mohaka, and will leave as soon as the weather becomes more settled.

The s.s. Kiwi is to leave Wellington on Monday night, and may be looked for hore on Wednesday morning. The Union Company's s.s. Arawata, Capt, W. C. Sinclair, through some delay down South, cannot leave Wellington for her before Sunday afternoon, and will not therefore arrive here before Monday morning, (By Cable) Sydney, May 13.
