Mr Bradlaugh has written a letter to the Speaker of the House of Commons protesting against his expulsion, and declaring that tbe same is illegal. Mr Rawson has given notice in the House of Commons of a motion setting forth that tbe action of the Speaker in forbidding Mr Bradlaugh's presence within the Jpreciencts of Parliament is illegal. At the wool auction to-day 9500 bales were catalogued. Prices were firmly maintained. The Standard to-day publishes a telegram from the Transvaal stating that the troubles between the Boers and natives have culminated in open hostility, fighting of a severe character having taken place between them.
