MELBOURNE.

May 11. In the Legislative Council to-day the consideration of the Reform Bill in committee was coucluded. Several important amendments were carried, and the bill was read a third time and ordered to be returned to the Assembly. May 12. At its rising last night the Legislative Council adjourned until Tuesday next, when the Assembly will consider the Reform Bill as amended by the Council. It is generally believed that there are hopes of a compromise being effected, and a settlement of the difficulty between the two Houses being arrived at.
