London, May 5. Consols remain at 101$. The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,800,000. The Bank rate of discount remains at 2\ per cenb. ; the market rate has been reduced to 2£ per cent. New Zealand 5 per cent. 1889 loan is quoted at 103J ex dividend ; 5 per cent. 10-40 loan is unchanged at 104J; 4_ per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 101.
Adelaide wheat ex warehouse is quoted at 48s ; New Zealand wheat at 44s ; Adelaide flour ex warehouse at 335.
Australian host beef tallow, 345; best mutton, 365.
_ There is a fair demand for most descriptions of Australian hides.
Sydney, May 6. New Zealand oats are quoted at 2s 6d per bushel ; maize, 2s 6d per 601b ; tobacco, Eaven's twist, Is 5d per lb. Hennessy's brandy, case, 36s 6d; hulk, quarters, 12s 3d.
Adelaide, May 6. Wheat firm at 4s 6d; town flour, £10 10s ; country brands, £9 10s to £9 15s.
