The Irish members; out of revenge for the arrest of Mr Dillon, are abstaining from taking part in all party divisions of the House of Commons on the Irish Land Bill which is now under consideration.

Mr Parnell has given notice of motion in the House of Commons of a motion for the rejection of the Irish Land Bill. In both Houses ot Parliament to-day motions were passed conveying votes of thanks to the officers and men of the ,Britisb army engaged in Afghanistan and the Transvaal for their gallant conduct during the compagin in those countries.
