NEW SOUTH WALES.

Sydney, April 28. The Mayor, in pursuance of a requisition signed by the-Aldermen and citizens, convenes a meeting in the Masonic Hall this morning to consider the emminent danger the colony was threatened with by the unrestricted importation of Chinese. Many of the recent arrivals had mortgaged or sold the the land they held to come here, and each bad paid his passage and supplied himself with provisions that they might land as cheaply aa possible. The special reporter of tbe Daily Telegraph had been visiting the Chinese quarter, and his accounts, although much that was seen had to be omitted, disclosed a state of immorality quite appalling. All except eight families of the Italiaa immigrants have obtained engagements at fair rates. The remainder are still at the Agricultural Hall for hire.
