CALCUTTA.

April 16. The force despatched by the Ameer to Candahar has arrived there, and the Governor appointed by him was installed to-day. April 18. A telegram has been received from Kandahar that the evacuation of tbe city by the British garrison has commenced. A report is current, however, that, although the troops will be withdrawn from Kandahar, several British regiments will permanently occupy Chaman and Pisheen Valley.
