A NUISANCE.
("To THE EDITOE 01" THE DAILY TELEGRAPH.] Sib, —Would you kindly permit me to draw your attention to the fact that pigs, in opposition to the Municipal bye-laws, have been kept within tbe Borough for the last two years, and tbat the owner, and also the Inspector of Nuisances, have been informed of the same, shewing them that it was an infraction of the law, yet not the slightest notice has been taken, and the abomination has materially increased, harboring hundreds of rats in the immediate neighborhood, they not only feeding upon the offal provided for the pigs, but destroying property belonging ing to neighbors in close proximity thereto. In fact, I know of one person ia particular who has been a severe sufferer from those rodents who have been induced to take up their abode in the place alluded to by the unsavory smells ensuing from the porcine family spoken of. Therefore, I do think that our city magnates should at once take some steps to eradicate this nuisance, aud thereby prevent the atmosphere from being contaminated, the town overrun with rats, and the property of private persons destroyed.—l am, &c, A CmzEir.
