At the wool sale to-day 8800 bales were offered, and more demand was experienced at a slight improvement in prices. The number of bales withdrawn from sale to date is 14,000 out of 158,900 catalogued since the opening.

The Bank of Australia has declared a dividend of six per cent for the half-year. Twenty persons have been arrested in Ireland on warrants issued by the Viceroy uuder the Coercion Act.

In the House of Commons to-day a disorderly § scene again occurred. Mr O'Donnell, the member for Dungarvan, waß most unruly, and defied the chair in violent language. He was then, by the Speaker's order, suspended for the remainder of the sitting. * March 9. Michael Eoyton, the chief paid organiser of branches of the Land League, and who was one of the traversers in the recent State prosecution, has been arrested in Ireland under the Viceroy's warrant. He contends that as he is an American subject his arrest is illegal, and he claims the protection of the United States Government.
