WAIROA.

March 5. Constable Shaw arrested two of the runaway sailors from the barque Mercia last night near Opoiti. They were evidently goiug to Gisborne. It appears that they landed near Waikareon Thursday. Constable Shaw deserves great credit, as he has been looking for these men almost night and day since they ran away. The two men, East and Martin, have been remanded to Napier.
