Byelaw of the Council of the Borough of Nap'cr, made under special or dor of the said Courcil, dated the sth day of .Tanuaiy, 1881, confirmed on the 2nd day of February, 18SI, and Eealed with the common seal of the said Council the said 2nd day of February, 18S1. In pursuance of Sub. Section (r) of Subdivision' (4) of Clause 319 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1870," the" Council of the Borough of Napior ordain as follows :— 1. It shall not be lawful for any person to bathe within, or within one mile of th.i boundrriea of the Borough of Napier, except at tho following times and places, viz. :— (a). In the sea, extending from the Pilot Reserve at the Eastern Spit along tbe Sea Beach bo tho cud of tbe Coote-road; between tho hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. (&). In nny other waters within, or within one mile of tho botredarif-s of the Borough of Napier, between the hours of 9 p.im and 7 a.m. Provided that bathing shall be permitted at all hours in such waters (excepting tho sea), r.s may be not less than 300 yords from any public road. 2. Any person bathing in tho sea, or in any river or other waters within, or within one mile from the boundaries of the said Borough, except at the times and placet) herein before respectively specified, shall be deemed guilty of an offence, and for every such offence shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding the sum of Fivo Pounda. 3.
