Waipawa Rifle Association v. Napier

The firing in this match took place this morning at the Tutaeknri range. It was intended that- there/; should be eight cr ten a-side; 'but : sis the 'Waipawa Association were not able to muster all their men it resolved itself into a match ofsixa-side. Mr Cato, of the Napier Rifles, being desirous of getting into town early, was allowed to shoot off at all tne ranges before tbe others commenced j he made the highest scoring with 51. During his firing the weather was «alm, but immediately afterward* a strong wind got up, making firing difficult, and the scoring., consequently low.
