The steamer Result, Captain W. E. Baxter, left for the Wairoa about 10 o'clock last night, with a good cargo and several passengers. . The s.s. Sir Donald, Captain Q.mnlau, steamed for Waimarama and Fairy Bay late last night, with a cargo of timber. The brigantine Linda Weber arrived here afc 8 o'clock this morning, and was brought straight inside and-moored at the breastwork, where she will discharge her cargo, consisting of sawn and baulk timber for Mr Robert Holt. She reports having; left on the sth instant, with a light S.W.. •wind, but on the 7th had to put back to.' wards Auckland, on account of the skipper, Capt. A. Campbell, becoming very ill; met the cutter Annie off Cape Colville, and put the captain aboard, the brigantine standing on her course again under the command of her chief officer, Mr D. Cameron ; _ experienced a succession of heavy head winds' and calms throughout tho passage. The schooner Msinore, Captain Stevens, cleared at the Customs this morning for Tairna, and will leave as soon as the weather clears. She discharged the whole of he? cargo, some 30,000 feet of timber, by 3 o'clock yesterday, and completed her ballasting this morning. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, ii to leave for the Mohaka and Wairoa at £ o'clock to-night with a full cargo. The s.s. Kiwi, Captain Campbell, left Wellington last evening, and should arrive here early to-morrow morning. She i.' advertised to sail again for Wellington at * o'clock. The s.s , Co-Ahead, Captain Dicker, is to leave Wellington this evening, and will arrive here on Thursday.
