SPORTING TIP.
Racing Club's Meeting.

The following events will be run to-
morrow :—Maiden Plate, Hawke's Bay Cup, Selling Race, and Ladies Purse. A Hack Hace will also be run off between the Cup and Selling events. There are five entries for the Maiden, namely, Algebra, Comet, Rawenata, Novelty, and Laverock. My tip for this event ;s Rawenata.
For the Cup there are also five acceptors, namely, Soukar, Loch Lomond, Graud Duchess, Merlin, and Moanatairi. My tip for the Cup is—Loch Lomond, 1; Grand Duchess, 2.
For the Selling Race there are four entries, Merlin (Pell's), Transit, Little Wonder, and Hero. My tip for this is Mr Pell's Merlin.
For the Ladies Purse there are eight entries, which I think will result in —■ Hailstorm, 1 ; Angler, 2.
