Mr W. ftoutledge reports that the sale of the property and stock in Mr Nicholson's estate at Kaikora yesterday was well attended. The 101 acres of land were sold for £1500, Mv J. Britten, who has an adjoining section, being the purchaser. The crossbred ewes fetched from 4s 9d to 5s ; the hoggetts from 5s to 6s 6d ; wethers, 7e ; lambs, 5s ; 18-month old heifers, £5 ; ditto steers, £5 each ; cows, £8 each ; 1 draught mare £29; 1 gelding, £27 ; several hacks ranged from £5 10s to £7. The drays, ploughs, and other implements fetched very satisfactory prices. The principal buyers of staok were Messrs Parsons, htook, Hobson, Eairbrother, and Grant.
