ADOPTION OF BYE-LAWS Nos. 19 AND 20. NOTICE is hereby given that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Municipal Council will be held in the Council ha mber, Napier, immediately after the conclusion oft h eORDINARY MEETING, on W_DNESDAY, the 2nd February next, for the purpose of confirming the Resolution of the said Council passed at a Special Meeting held on the sth inst., adopting Bye-laws Nos. 19 and 20 as already published with the following alterations and exceptions, viz.:— BYE-LAW No. 19. In Clause 44 (printed 45), 24-Guage altered to 26-Guage. Two new Clauses to be added, numbered respectively 45 and 46, viz.: — Clause 45—Within No. 1 District no Portico or Verandah to be of no less height from the ground than 8 feet. Clause 46 - All Porticos or Verandahs to be erected in accordance with the plans and specifications deposited in the Corporation ' Offices. Clause printed 46 to become Clause 47. In Clause 48 (printed 47)— The Bye-law to come into force on the Ist July, 1882, instead of 1881. BYE-LAW No. 20. Public Bathing. Clause I.—lt shall not be lawful for any persons to bathe within, or within one mile of, the boundaries of the Borough of Napier, except at the following times and places, viz. :— (a). In the sc», extendig from the Pilot Reserve at the Eastern Spit, along the Eea Beach to the end of the Coote-road, between the hours of 9 p.m. aijd 7 a.m. (6). In any other waters within, or within one mile of, the boundaries of the Borough of Napier, between the hours of 9 a m. and 7 pm. Provided that bathing shall be permitted at all hours in such waters (excepting , the sea), as may be not less than 300 yards from any public road. By order, M. N. BOWER, Town Clerk.
