January 12. The County Council met last night. There was very little business done. The Chairman has ordered the motion for taking the right of road at Marti Maru to be indefinitely postponed, and reprimanded the Council for having taken any action in the matter during his absence. The road overseer is made registrar of dogs at Is Gd a head. The valuation rolls were approved of, but no notice of striking a rate was given.
